weird dream part 1.

you know when you're dreaming and you know that you've woken up cause all of a sudden the characters in your dream don't know what to do anymore? and then if it's a good dream you go NOOOO come on ... okay you! keep eating. you! keep running around. now me ... try to fall asleep again.

that's exactly what happened this morning. several times. and you should stop here if you're not interested in my dream because it's super weird and involve a weird mix of characters which i have no idea how they got shoved together. bad grammar.

well. the first thing i remember in the dream is sitting in a classroom (L3 i think) and to my right was ...

should i mention names? it would be awkward. but ... oh well. if you're reading this and you're also in my dream ... i have no idea why these things happened either.

i was sitting on the outside horseshoe on the very edge in the corner of the room. to my right was X and to her right Y. then somehow this box of sesame roll thingos got passed around. i didn't know but then ... actually i'm not going to put any names in. (goes back to change them all)

where I'm sitting in L3 (birds eye view)

these sesame rolls. somehow in my dream they were in deepika's green yarn box and  instead of cut in two they were cut in three and there was a gazillion of them in that box

so they got passed around. i dont remember this bit clearly but i think it got passed to Y who took 8 and then X took 13. X was going really hyperactive and she seemed to love the food or something. then it got passed to me. i think i took 1 and ate it and thought it was pretty nice. i didnt know what it was though. so i took another one and held onto it for a bit.

then somehow i realised that it was actually a drug! omg! and i was like omg that was a drug i just ate it ... and i look over and X and Y are like mass eating them and slightly going crazy. i assume they've tried it before and knew just what it was.

somehow ... wait. this person. i must mention. too funny not to! somehow Clive (my badminton coach) was in the room and he told me to pass him something and he stretched his arm across the two horseshoes  and i passed him something. then he saw the extra sesame-roll-drug i hid behind my back and started laughing in that whole (omg i can't believe how bad you are jennifer! ooh you're going to get in trouble!) type expression. i dunno, my brain dreams weird dreams.

then apparently this drug checker guy came in and needed to check us or something. i was like oh my gosh, i'm going to die. but then clive was trying to help us by distracting the drug checking guy and i remember thinking 'oh that's really nice of him, i thought he was going to dob us in'

but he was unsuccessful and the drug checking guy came in and saw X and Y and asked them how many sesame rolls they ate. X was laughing creepily and through her giggles said '13' and Y was like 'i ate 8!' (or something along those lines). then he eyed me and asked how many i ate. i said one third. (that doesnt make sense, but i get what i mean. i probably counted it like one third of the original non cut up one? i dunno)

and the guy raised his eyebrow in disbelief cause he thought i mustve been a drug addict with X and Y and how i could possibly eat one third. then i realised i had another one behind my back which i had unravelled so i said that i actually think i ate two thirds. and then somehow the drug checker guy morphed into clive and clive was asking me in disbelief one third? two thirds? are you serious? and somehow the drug checker guy was there again.

then i kind of woke up so the dream changed into some weird thing. i'll write about that in part 2. :)

train frustration

Monday means badminton. So we were all happy and excited for training … until, after trekking to the boys’ gym with 3 nets and a large bag of racquets, we realised that the boys had taken EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE COURTS. Even the ones that we usually take. So after relocating many times, we were reduced to the CLEVELAND QUAD. I mean … badminton means indoors. No wind. Little feathery thing gets blown by wind.

So I guess you guys would probably know what I mean when I say that it didn’t really work. As proved when we tried to play table tennis in the wind the next day. Well because we were playing in the Cleveland Quad it was much closer to the storage thing where we put our stuff. A bus also came the moment we arrived at the bus stop.

When I got to Central, there was a Cronulla in 3 minutes. I ran for it. Arriving at the platform, A TINCAN WAS THERE AND IT WAS REALLY CROWDED. So I had to endure that horrifying moment when I have to decide whether to get on or not. But then I REMEMBERED THAT USUALLY THERE’S A TINCAN THAT COMES BEFORE MY REALLY NICE TRAIN. My usual train (the really nice one) doesn’t stop at Wolli Creek or Rockdale. So when I was looking at the timetable and the train after the Cronulla was an ‘express’, I assumed that that was my train.

So off the train goes. I’m like YAY my train is almost here and I can get home and see what my brother looks like in SBHS uniform! (I was SO excited, omg he’s gonna look so weird with a tie and everything HAHHAHAHHAHA) and then I turn my head to look at the timetable.

AND THEN MY FACE WENT WHITE. I DID THAT WHOLE EYE-WIDENING OMG WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME FACE. Why?! Because the next train stopped at Redfern then HURSTVILLE. Kogarah is before Hurstville. The train DOES NOT STOP AT MY STOP. Argh. Omg. WHY DID I MISS THAT TRAIN? IM SUCH AN IDIOT. WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?! So then I use my phone to see if there’s a train from Hurstville to Kogarah after this one. Yes there is! And I only have to wait 3 minutes.

So yeah coolies I get onto that train. But to check, I used my phone to check what time the next train gets to Kogarah. 3 MINUTES EARLIER. AND I DON’T HAVE TO CHANGE TRAINS. So I did that whole gritting teeth inhaling making hissing sound that Amanda always does and the hand movement that’s like clutching something that’s falling down. If you know what I mean.

So I got off at Redfern. The next train. The next train is an all stops! Okay so I know this train gets there earlier … but let’s see the next one. Cause all stops are slower. SO I USE MY PHONE TO CHECK AND IT TURNS OUT THAT THE TRAIN AFTER THAT GETS TO KOGARAH 2 MINUTES EARLIER!

So I watch as the all stops passes me … and then get on the train after that. I recognise the train. IT’S THE TRAIN THAT I USUALLY CATCH, YET I GOT TO CENTRAL QUITE A BIT EARLIER THAN USUAL. I was so annoyed. But when I got home … I opened the door and MY BROTHER GREETED ME IN SBHS UNIFORM! OMG SO CUTE.

toilet adventure

Sorry about the late posts! I’ve been getting lazier and lazier everyday and I’m just recording the gist of my posts on my phone and it seems forever until it actually appears on my blog. Sadly, that’s why what I say might be a bit outdated =/ actually I’ll shove all the really outdated ones into a post of their own :)

So it’s Monday and I’m getting ready to change for PE. I’m paranoid. I’m never like this but the first changeroom I walked into, I swear there must’ve been a massive web across the floor cause the moment I walked it I felt like an entire web had swept past my ankles. EW. Even though I looked normal, but inside I was like OMG WHAT WAS THAT FGSDF WHAT EW OMG HOW MANY SPIDERS ARE IN HERE OMG WHAT.

You get my point. So I walked into every single changeroom and noticed at least one daddy-long-legs in each so I just gave up and went to change in the toilets. So I was happily changing … and finished changing. About to leave.

Then I hear water hitting the floor. You know that splash? And I felt little water droplets hitting my leg. DIGUSTING?! Yes. But wait there’s more. So I wasn’t really annoyed but I wanted to know why water would be splashing on the floor. So I peeked a little into the cubicle next (not FULLY peeked, but just enough to kinda see why water was splashing) and I saw THIS:

And I was like :| I don’t know if I just think disgusting but the person looked like they were sitting on the toilet. So it’s unlikely that somehow toilet water splashed out (that would too be disgusting) so my immediate thought was: OMG IT’S VOMIT. EW. EW. IT GOT ON MY LEG. EW. EW. EW. And as if to confirm my suspicions, the person in the next cubicle began to cough a few times.

Maybe it could’ve been them trying to reach for their bag and accidentally emptying a bit of their water bottle or something. I don’t know. And tried to cover it by coughing to cover the awkwardness. But it still seemed gross. They probably did feel sick and I wanted to ask if they felt okay but just in case it wasn’t actually vomit, I didn’t say anything. Anyway, they probably would be embarrassed I knew.

So I ran to one of those toilets with a sink in them and wet some tissues and wiped my leg.

Haha let’s end on a funny note. After badminton Alison and I were changing back into our school uniform when Catherine suddenly shouted ‘OMG! I FORGOT TO CHANGE MY SHOES!! ARGH!’ and she immediately got ready to take her shoes off. Little did she realise she already had her school shoes on. She had subconsciously changed them at the gym already haha! So we ended up talking about looking for your glasses when you’re wearing them and looking for things that you’re holding. Everyone has those moments :D

i am a horrible person

two things that made me particularly sad this week:

i was hogging a toilet cubicle.
so it was thursday morning and i'd just finishing badminton training. i usually (and prefer to) change in the changing rooms but there were hsc exams on that morning, and i don't think i'm actually allowed in there. once i actually changed in there and when i opened the door to come out a swarm of yr 12s were going into the hall and i had to wait a bit and then kind of go against the flow to get back out and people were glaring/staring at me ... let's say it was awkward.

so i was like oh no i have to change in the toilets! this is annoying, because there isn't a place for you to put your clothes in, only a hook to hang your bag on. so i went into a cubicle and changed. i remember i looked at my watch and i was like yay im early today i might be able to get to my locker before the bell rings!

but then i heard two or more girls complaining really loudly when they walked into the toilet. i just ignored it, because people always chatter, scream, etc. in the toilets. but then this girl, presumably year 12 and about to sit her exam, shouted:

"Oh my gosh, you can't be serious. There must be people changing in there! IF YOU ARE CHANGING INSIDE THE TOILETS, F***ING GET OUT. This is not a joke."
i tried remembering what she said to the best of my memory. I'm actually quite sure that's what she said but i don't guarantee against minor differences.

and i froze. i felt so bad i can't express it in words! i knew that she must have felt really rushed because her exam was soon and she needed to go to the toilet. i was actually really scared and felt really guilty. i would definitely have gone out if she didn't sound so scary, if i wasn't half naked in the toilet, if my shoes weren't sitting on the floor and my clothes shoved into my bag messily. plus, i needed to go to the toilet.

i actually spent the next few minutes frozen. i was so scared that if i made any plastic bag sounds (cause my shoes are in a plastic bag) that they would hear me and know that i didn't come out. ARGH i felt so bad.

i waited until the bell rung and about 5 minutes later. after safely assuming that they must have been in the exam hall already, i quickly finished changing, went to the toilet and walked out. i made sure that i put every single piece of clothing and shoes, etc. in my bag so it didn't look like i changed (even though i had to hold my badminton racket). to my relief, no year 12s were in the toilet hallway thing and almost every cubicle was empty (which i hope means that the yr 12 did manage to go to the toilet).

i didn't saying thank you.
we were on the train back home. the majority of my friends were sitting in the 6-seater while i was sitting with Selena in the 3 seater behind, and Vanessa and Maggie sat in the 3-seater behind us. When Maggie got off the train, Vanessa moved to the 6-seater where there were vacancies so she didn't have to be alone or hog a whole 3-seater. After she moved, I heard the man who was sitting on the 2-seater next to me mutter something. At first I assumed he was complaining about school students being loud on the train (we were quite loud) so i disregarded his comment. However, he continued to mutter and I was beginning to wonder what he was trying to say. My next assumption was that he was trying to begin a conversation with me, so I ignored him once again.

after hearing some shuffling from behind me, i realised (i forgot in which order) that the man was trying to tell Vanessa that she had dropped her pen in her previous seat. i felt ashamed of myself and a complete idiot - why hadn't you listened to him earlier? why did you assume he was a baddie all the time? urgh. i was puzzled and really annoyed at myself. trying to look like i had no idea he was trying to talk to us the whole time, i turned around and three girls from another school who had decided to sit behind us handed me the red pen. I was moving in slow-mo and trying to look like i wasn't aware of the situation.

my brain wasn't working properly. so i took the pen slowly and decided to give Vanessa her pen back. i turned around slowly and gave it to Vanessa. it was at this exact moment that i realised that admidst my confusion and idiocy and attempts to look surprised I HAD FORGOTTEN TO SAY THANK YOU.

the next happened in about 2 seconds:
the girl who had given me the pen began to swear to her friends about how i didn't even say thank you. but i was planning to say thank you a split second before she started, so i actually turned around and rushed a thank you (which i intended to sound like 'i really did mean that, sorry about just then. thank you for picking up the pen!' but now that i think of it i realised that it might have made me sound like i listened into their conversation and was trying to win back reputation. omg i feel like a female dog.) which actually interrupted her in her complaints. hopefully because i interrupted her she'd assume i wasn't listening in.

i didn't know if she said anything afterwards but then katherine said something to me and i was trying to act normal underneath my guilt and OMG I AM SUCH AN IDIOT I JUST MADE MY WHOLE TRAIN BUNCH SEEM RUDE AND IGNORANT and then she thought she made me sad :( i told her that she didn't but she didn't seem to really believe me haha, but this is why. and i couldn't really explain it right then and there, so ... yeah.

WE WON WE WON!

this post is purely for the sake of me remembering what happened.

so i got up at 8:45 ish. i was so paranoid that my alarm would run out of battery that i automatically woke myself up at 3 and 6 and 8 oclock :L you know when your brain automatically does that ... yeah well it's annoying.

i took the train and bus with Merrilyn (totalling 1 hour trip) and met Connie just as we got off the bus. we met Michelle at the entrance (turns out she has twin little sisters! adorable, i know) and started getting prepared.

first school: PLC
we then played PLC. it was ok, we won 3 out of 5 games (alison, michelle and connie lost their matches) but IT WAS GOOD. like it was average, nothing too hard.

second school: SGHS (i know right, they've got the same abbreviation thing as us. strathfield girls high school.)
omg. this was frustrating for catherine and i. so we were playing against them ... and during practise and watching the second doubles (catherine and i) THEY DIDN'T EVEN LOOK THAT GOOD. but SADLY WE LOST. partly because i was being stupid and went to the front for a period of time (usually catherine stays at the front and i take the back) and catherine told me later on that was why she couldn't get the back ones :( stupid me :'( it was kinda sad cause it was my first match i lost :( (mainly cause i played with carolyn last time so she made everything nice) we won 3 out of 5 games

third school: SGHS (this was actually Sydney Girls High ... we were playing against the other team we put in)
so team 1 (my team) still had an inkling of hope to win ... so we were like OMG SHOULD WE JUST ASK THEM TO LET US SO WE CAN GUARANTEE A WIN?! but then we were like NAH that isn't fair and even if we win we wouldn't find it fun ... so we played normally. and catherine and i lost to sandra and renee (i don't know what happened! we played very badly i guess. then sandra and renee should have been in our team if they were better than us ...) and we won 4 out of 5 of the games ....

fourth school: PLC (they entered 28736458 teams. not really. but they won girls div 1)
this was good :) catherine and i won our doubles thing quite easily, which was good cause we were beginning to lose confidence :( catherine spazzed before our game cause the girls we were playing against were in year 7 and they were really tall! anyway we won 4 out of 5 games here :D

fifth school: HGHS (runner up last year)
this was the most nervous match catherine and i played. it was really tense cause we NEEDED to win at least three games in this to get a chance at winning ... and we were under heaps of pressure to win this. well, not really. obviously our team mates said 'no pressure' but we still wanted to do our best :D and ... GUESS WHAT. we were like TIED AT 14 ALL and the winning team is the team first to reach 15. usually if you get two tied one point below the winning thing you raise the winning thing by 1 and you keep doing that until one person is two points ahead of the other and they win (you know what i mean?) - but this time apparently you dont. so it was a matter of whoever won this match won the game.

YEAH I KNOW RIGHT SO FREAKY.

so i was like fully sweating and i understood why Clive (our coach) told me to remove the plastic thing on my badminton racket grip ... cause when i sweat the racket tends to kind of slide in my hand. well anyway. i just told myself JUST TRY TO HIT IT BACK DONT EVEN TRY TO RISK LOSING THIS POINT.

... AND THEN WE WON!!!!!! OMG. WE LIKE WENT FULLY CRAZY CAUSE WE WERE QUITE SURE WE WOULD GET 3 OUT OF 5 GAMES THEN, CAUSE LATER CAROLYN WOULD PLAY AND WIN.

but when carolyn played she was playing against ANOTHER REALLY REALLY GOOD PLAYER. at the beginning carolyn got it out and into the net several times but she made up points for it. whenever the hornsby girl won her team mates were like fully cheering so we were like WE GOTTA SUPPORT CAROLYN TOO! so when she won we would like clap really loudly. but when the opponent got a point we clapped softly ... when carolyn remarked on how we clapped when she lost we explained to her that:

  1. we didnt want it to look like we had bad sportsmanship
  2. we wanted to show carolyn that we werent too frowning and angry when she lost the point to clap, just to show that we were still with her!
and at the awards ceremony they announced the runners up were hornsby .... then i was like OMG. WE WON HORNSBY. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE .... then they said that the winners were SYDNEY GIRLS HIGH! and we all erupted into applause and im like in my head OMG YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY MY DREAM HAS COME TRUE! it was so great!

when we went up to get our medals and trophy i was first up and unfamiliar with the process ... so after she put the medal on me i turned around and asked Alison if i just join the end of the line and fumbled around for a bit (SAME CONCEPT AS WHY I DONT LIKE GETTING ON THE BUS FIRST) ... until i turned around and i saw the lady with her hand out to me ... anticipating a hand shake. i quickly shook her hand but my brain was like OMG I JUST LEFT THIS POOR LADY WAITING FOR MY HANDSHAKE AND NOW SHE THINKS I'M SO IMPOLITE AND I GAVE SGHS A BAD REPUTATION! OMG NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

but it was brilliant :D

my lights can be seen inside the shuttlecocks ....

the back!
ignore my lights >.>
