glitch ... again

my computer always goes weird and takes bits of different windows and smoosches it into my other windows. it happened before and i made a post about it when that happened as well.

anyway i was talking to katherine and joanna just then (still am) and when i switched to my beijing tourist attractions tab i saw this:

de athletics carnivale

ni ho ma. this post is dedicated to those of you who decided to not attend the ANNUAL BIG EVENT OF THE ATHLETICS CARNIVAL.

yes, i know ... how could they.

deepika lost her ipod touch. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE. she found it later in the office :) everyone's happy.

first event: discus.
i waited in ... quite a long line to throw three heavy metal plates. i managed to qualify but then realised that i needed to run my 100m.

second event: 100m
i changed from my sneakers (YELLOW FOR MOORE) into my sport shoes. alicia came third, i did too :) no, not really i came third last :) i came third if you watched it in reverse. wait that wouldnt work cause then like everyone would reach the finish line at the same time. but the finish line isnt the finish line. what what what.

third event: javelin.
i threw a spear and kind of got it right. like everything else, average.

fourth event: shotput
im so sad, i didnt do too well like last year :( didnt throw it good enough to get past three people in front of me and i didnt qualify! a;oshg;ohfgsd. like i had one chance, stuffed it and that was it. argh.

then this was a period of nothingness. playing cards. watching people walk around. eat my lunch. etc. etc. we played big two, cheat, speed. twas awesome ..... kind of.

fifth event: long jump
people can jump so far it's freaky. i bet you peter pan won long jump and high jump when he was young cause he just flew. like the record is something along the lines of 5m. HOW DO YOU JUMP 5 METRES. that's insane. CRAZY. anyway. lots of people did very well. and i didnt do so well this year as last by like 10 CM OMG.

and then i went back and took some photos with my friends. and put ribbons on my hair (haha yeah, a bit late.) and then left at like ... 2. and got home a little past 3 :) twas a fun day.

NOTE: due to my laziness i may have skipped bits, changed bits and added bits (like the e to carnival :D) and i have also slacked off and cbb putting in so much detail. good night :D

omg. i just wrote hellow. why isnt hello spelt like hellow? wouldn't that be interesting. and why isnt debut written as daybyuu or something? like how mao ze dong turns into Mao Tse Tung when turned into english.

ANYWAY. how have you all been? excited after exams?! BUT WAIT. some of you guys are having exams now! good luck!

this morning i was glimpsing a bit of the news while sorting out optus, crazy john's, vodafone and virgin's cap plans . . . and i saw cuts of Olivia Newton-John's & WACCI (We're Australian Creative Collective Inc)'s single Magic which is for her cancer charity . . . and it's pretty cool. check it out here :)

oh and on the note of cool formation walking etc., i saw this video several months ago and OMG IT MADE ME CRACK UP SO BADLY. like ... ZOMG. i'm not sure if this is the version i watched but i just took the longest one with the most views :) ENJOY. despite me getting a feeling that many of you would've watched it before . . .

also on the news was an update on a certain musical instrument: THE UKULELE . apparently a survey of British music stores have shown that the instrument that has achieved the largest improvement in sales throughout the last year was the ukulele . furthermore , due to their original limited supply and a sudden rise in demand, many stores haven't been able to accommodate such a change :) seems as if Australia, on the other side of the world, has reflected this change too.

and yes, i'm getting a little bored of this font. TIME FOR CHANGE! (same slogan Whitlam used for his Dec 1972 election . . . wow history is getting to me)

did i mention that kelly and katherine came over to my home? looking through my blog i couldnt believe i didnt talk enough about it!

we ate pizza :) and did random stuff. and i took them a tour around my home and showed them my baby born  and my domo and stuff like that :D we also ended up watching a bit of Arthur and reminisced in the end :)

well of course the highlight was MAHJONG EHEHEHEHE. anyone reading this and know how to play? comment and we'll arrange some sort of game somewhere :) yeah, well we've got my brother and three teenage girls sitting around a table getting all excited with mahjong hehe. i couldnt explain the game really well cause i wasnt good myself and i couldnt get into the complicated stuff cause it got too . . . complicated. kelly won in the end cause she won a 自摸 which means she finished off her 'legal set' by drawing and not 'eating' someone else's discarded block thingo. twas cool :D

so to a certain halim / yourmum / 8D who likes turtles, DO YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY? cause it'd be awesome if you did >:) then we could 'totoes' play asian one day and eat rice and knit (wait what?!) and got shopping in discount stores and shake packets of chips to see which one is the least shattered and take freebies that they're handing out :D yeah. we'll be cool.
