mappen

click here for an even better site :)

went to mappen in the city today with deepika and victoria :) the food there was affordable, delicious and really really filling!

the meal was $9 :) twas okay and really filling.
i got an ontama bukkake (we all did, i think it was $4), prawn tempura ($2.50), sweet potato tempura ($0.50) and a seaweed salad (i forgot but from calculation it was $2) :D i guess it isnt the cheapest thing you can buy (like pizza is $7.95 but you can feed two people with it :D - but then again if i only got the udon it'd be only $4)

i know it doesn't look like a lot but somehow the food FILLS YOU UP REALLY QUICKLY. like in the photo i hadn't really started eating and i was like hmmm will this fill me up but then i started eating and halfway through my udon and my sweet potato tempura we all started getting full already =/ deepika didn't even finish her meal - but she got a ... fish tempura? too.

there wasn't enough lighting so the photo's really blurry =/
where you buy and self-serve the food
the window in the left is where you return your trays
then we walked around the city and took a whole lot of photos in lovisa cause the stuff was so pretty :) deepika took victoria and i to the strand and i couldnt believe i'd never been in there before! we went into chocolate stores and looked at stuff and took photos and sat around and deepika wanted to jump around on the cool tiles in supre which change colour but they weren't turned on. and we went into SES too ... and remarked on which clothes looked like which animal :) there were jackets which looked like chicken skin which was losing its feathers ... yeah we're weird.

and then we bought a soft serve from maccas before heading home ...

i clipped my fringe up cause it refused to do what it's supposed to do

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

my computer weirded just then and look what happened:

AHAHAHAHA I KNOW RIGHT KATHERINE'S EMOTICONS FROM MSN KINDA DECIDED TO STAY ON MY MONITOR AND WAVE ITS HEAD ON ME WHILE I SWITCHED WINDOWS.

nyeah.

yugioh

well lalalala today i went to the city. and it turns out katherine was also there ... but we didn't see each other. sadly.

well, first thing my bro made us do was go into the good games store. when i entered ... wow i'd never seen anything like it before!

the people in the store were predominantly men in their 20s, and it was amusing watching them carry like 20cm thick albums of their yugioh cards and showing them to each other. i didn't know these people really existed! i know i sound entirely ignorant but it really opened my eyes to what a gaming club was like. i'd never seen any of them in real life!

displayed at the counter were ... omg ten million yugioh cards. and i thought my bro had too much. i could hear my bro hyperventilating ... i bet you his mind was going 'OH MY GOSH THIS IS MY HAVEN! SO MANY YUGIOH CARDS ~~~'

anyway. well the men there were duelling, and they had little tables where they sat and duelled. i really can't actually imagine people taking time out, travelling to the city to duel with some people they don't know'. well, i guess this is why i live under a rock (metaphorically ... i dont really live under a rock. i dont live in coober pedy either :D). i guess it's really a socialising experience as they can interact amongst people with similar interests ...

yeah, this was behind the counter.
you see the array of paper that looks like files? every single one of them is a yugioh card. OH. MY. GOSH. you should've seen even more on the left of the counter ... but i dont think i took a photo of it =/

cards in the glass cupboard display under the counter ...

more cards ...

yeah. there were a lot of cards.
oh yeah, and the people duelling there?

yeah, it was interesting :D

so yeah. spent the last 15 minutes sharing the screen with mum 8D well yeah she's on the phone with my aunty so i'm using the whole computer now :) ohohoho. and sorry if this post doesnt make sense, my brain dies at 11 :) i noticed, it's a trend :D

and now i have successfully forgotten what i originally intended to blog about. thank you and good night.
